The core objective of the development was to deliver a unified, cross-platform digital experience, empowering passengers to manage every aspect of their journey — from booking and payment to real-time flight updates and mobile boarding. The solution is seamlessly integrated with Wizz Air’s internal systems, guaranteeing precise data exchange and reliable system performance. 


Over the past decade, the platform has been continuously evolving to align with a dynamic business landscape and emerging technologies. While the portal expands its digital capabilities, the IT infrastructure is being modernized toward a multi-cloud, containerized, microservices-driven architecture — delivering enhanced security, operational efficiency, and long-term scalability. 


Beyond development, testing, and automation, Abesse’s specialists play an active role in the platform’s day-to-day operations. Their responsibilities include DevOps and DevSecOps activities, content management, and release management — ensuring stable, secure, and efficient operation of Wizz Air’s digital platform. 

 

Results

As a result of the modernization, Wizz Air’s digital services are now consistently accessible across all platforms — mobile and web — delivering a stable and high-quality user experience. The new scalable, integrated system has supported the airline’s rapid growth, enabling operations on more than 800 routes in over 50 countries and accommodating a passenger increase from 41 to 70 million within five years. Its flexibility allows fast business adaptation, improves data accuracy, and enhances operational efficiency by minimizing manual processes. Altogether, these advancements have strengthened service reliability and optimized operating costs. 


Customer satisfaction and loyalty have shown measurable improvement, strengthening Wizz Air’s long-term growth and competitive advantage.
